Michael Ryan - Managing Partner
Michael completed both a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree and a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1983. Michael chose to practice in accountancy and joined Arthur Andersen in 1984. Whilst at Arthur Andersen Michael then completed the postgraduate course at the College of Law and qualified as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW.
In 1995 Michael joined Taylor Woodings’ Perth office to continue his specialisation in corporate recovery. Michael has gained particular expertise in the mining and exploration, hotel, manufacturing, property development, earthmoving, wholesaling, retailing, importing and exporting industries.
Over recent years Michael has been instrumental in expanding the firm’s practice nationally.
Michael has undertaken a wide range of high profile and complex corporate assignments in Australia and overseas. Michael has handled a number of international assignments and is the lead contact partner for our international affiliation with the HWW insolvency co-operation partners group. Michael has gained particular expertise in a range of industries including mining and exploration, mining services, hotels, manufacturing and property development.
Michael is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia, and the Australian Venture Capital Association.
Michael is a Registered Liquidator and an Official Liquidator.
