Managing Partner
Michael has expertise working on a wide range of high profile and complex corporate assignments in Australia and overseas and has particular expertise in the mining and resources, hospitality and tourism, manufacturing, property and construction industries.
Michael’s international experience includes appointments as administrator of companies with operations in New Zealand, Chile, Uruguay and Papua New Guinea. Michael has led negotiations with entities in the United States, Canada and Malaysia. Michael manages the relationship with our international affiliation with the HWW insolvency co-operation partners network.
Michael started his career as an accountant at Arthur Andersen. Michael has also completed the postgraduate course at the College of Law and qualified as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. Michael is also a panel liquidator for the Australian Taxation Office. In 1995, Michael joined Taylor Woodings’ Perth office to continue his specialisation in corporate recovery and was appointed Managing Partner in 2008. Over recent years, Michael has been instrumental in expanding the firm’s practice nationally.
Michael has recently had published the following article entitled "Heading towards a more secure Australia" in the Summer 2011 edition of RECOVERY, the magazine of R3, the Association of Business Recovery Professionals, published by GTI Media.
